LoisLane is the alter ego of former newspaper reporter and current freelance journalist, Ailene Torres.

I'm currently living in Prague after almost a year experiencing numerous travel adventures, many of which I shared with my readers in "The Blog." There readers find well-researched and informed opinions about my travels, as well as, socio-political news and other topics. In the coming months, I will offer new columnists and a broader range of topics.

In 2007, I finished writing/editing my first novel, CHILD SUPPORT. I plan to share an excerpt here on this site very soon.

This year, I hope to continue to acclimate to life in Prague and to come up with clever posts during this year of the Bejing Olympics, a recession-prone economy and a Presidential election that could give us the first black, woman or disappoint us all by maintaining the status quo.
